A Letter From Heaven

This poem touched my heart, and I must say , I cried when I read it.
It was created on the one Month Anniversary of the tragedy of 9-11-2001.
It's author wished to express her deep appreciation for all
those who have both encouraged and inspired her. She said,
"You have shown what America is really about and you are why
I am proud to be an American!"

Please Pray for our Men and Women in the Military, May they all return home safely!

      ~ A Letter From Heaven ~

      My Dearest Loved Ones,
There are things I didn't get to say,
but first, I thought you'd like to know
      that I got here okay.

      I'm sending this from Heaven,
I am with the Lord above.
There is no pain, there is no hate,
      just unconditional love.

      The day the tragedy struck,
and my life on earth was through,
God lifted me from the rubble and said
"I take the pain for you".

Please do not weep for me,
because I am no longer in sight.
Know that all my pain disappeared,
the moment I stepped into the light.

God took my hand and spoke
      of deeds still left undone.
He showed me all the workers
and the work they had begun.

I watched them work through dark of night
and the freezing rain all day,
they fought so hard to find me,
      but I just couldn't stay.

So I went and stood beside them,
Their work fueled by their hopes and their fears,
and when the burden overwhelmed them,
I was the gentle touch that wiped away their tears.

I wish that I could tell you
about God's great and loving plan,
      but I know being human,
      you just couldn't understand.

One thing I need you to know
      though my life on earth is through;
My spirit is with you day and night
And I'll wait right here for you.

To all my friends old and new
      know that God has a plan to fulfill;
      We will walk together someday,
on the brighter side of the hill.

You have many trials ahead of you
many a rough road to weather,
but the right of the people will always triumph,
      when joining hands together.

I must leave and you will stay,
      until he calls you home,
      Remember that I'll be watching,
      You'll never be alone.

      P.S. I enclosing a message,
      from the great man above.
He says to tell the world,
That he sends his undying love.
